Other Information : This is in the townland of Church Ballee and parish of Ballee, about three - quarters of a mile east of the Downpatrick - Ardglass road The church is a typical T-shaped presbyterian building erected in 1721 as indicated by a stone at the back Another presbyterian church in the nearby townland of Ballyhosset Milltown (without a graveyard) was started after the Arian controversy but it was abandoned and an orthodox presbyterian church founded in Ardglass This graveyard is in exceptionally good order although the oldest stone dates from 1806 It seems likely that all denominations were buried in Ballee Parish Church during the eighteenth century and one Presbyterian minister was buried there All stones with dates of death prior to 1865 have been copied The baptismal register goes back to 1816 but other registers are modern.
