Other Information : OS 21 Grid Ref 200534 The cathedral is situated on the north bank of the river Lagan at the junction of the Lurgan and Banbridge roads There is in the graveyard beside the bridge, a high cross with abstract ornament of about 10th century date In the centre is inscribed "The Ancient Historical Cross of Dromore, erected and restored after many years of neglect By Public Subscription To which the Board of Works were contributors Under the Auspices of the Town Commissioners of Dromore, Co Down, 21 1 1887" The graveyard is in a somewhat rough condition Many of the stones are worn and illegible but one survives dating from 1693 All with dates of death before 1900 are included below, as well as the pre-1900 memorials in the cathedral The standards works on the Diocese are E D Atkinson's Dromore, An (Aster Diocese and M B Swanzy's Succession Lists of the Diocese of Dromore The former contains copies of most of the memorial tablets in the cathedral and Bishop Percy's is also in Memorials of the Dead, Ill, 61-62 Memorials of the Dead, X, 186 contains a transcript and photograph of Stott inscription and Xll, 203-205 contains copies of gravestone inscriptions.
