Dundonald Parish Church, Presbyterian Church and Norman mote all lie in the angle between the Belfast-Comber and Belfast-Newtownards roads There has been a church on the site for at least 6 centuries but in 1622 it was a ruin A new church was built in 1624 and rebuilt in 1771 and 1838 The present church nearby was started in 1965 The graveyard is wild and irregular, the oldest stone dating from 1639 The old church contains one memorial tablit prior to 1900 and two tablets commemorating rectors and churchwardens, all of which have been copied There are also the broken upper part of an Anglo- Norman grave slab and a stone from a window of a former church in the new church On the outside of the tower is the inscription "Erected A D MDCXXIV Rebuilt MDCCLXXI Again rebuilt MDCCCXXXVIII Rev R M Dillon, Rector".
