Other Information : This graveyard now lies at the back of the garden of the manse of Kilkeel Presbyterian Church, the Moravian church having been incorporated Into the Alfred Eadie Hall and the manse The entrance is in Newcastle Street in the town and towniand of KilkeeL The Moravian community at the Newry end of the town faded out In 1817, but the flock was gathered together again in 1829 and a new church was built in 1832 Two stones from the old church built into the porch of the manse read as follows:- 'A D 1828 Revd I A ' and 'Church of the UnitedBrethren, 1832' The congregation was still flourishing in 1889 but dwindled steadily, and the last service was held on 28th February 1915 The baptismal register extends from 1834-1914; the marriage register from 1834-1857 and 1863-1912; and the burial register from 1834-1912 The graveyard is small and rather wild though level The oldest recorded date of death is 1862 but all inscriptions in the graveyard have been copied There are no upright headstones, all being flat or nearly so, and a few inscriptions are round the edge of enclosures.
