Other Information : This is in the townland of Killinchy at a crossroads round which the small village of Killinchy has grown up The church is of Celtic origin as its name indicates and is mentioned in the surveys of 1306 and 1622 The present building dates from 1830 but the baptismal register is from 1819, marriage register from 1825 and burial register from 1824 The vestry book goes back to 1710 The graveyard is to the south of the church and is densely packed with stones of all periods from the 17th century, the oldest being dated 1672 Although the Presbyterian graveyard dates from the 18th century, the parish graveyard also contains the graves of many Presbyterians including those of 2 early ministers (Kinkead and Reid) The boundary wall was built in 1786 Miscellanea Genealogica et Heraldica, New Series, 1877, Vol II, pp 570-572 contains incomplete transcripts of 6 stones of the Potter family and allied families All are worn and the copies made then are helpful There is further information about the family in Misc Geneal et Herald, 1880, Ill, 110 There are two memorial tablets in the church and both have been copied.
