Other Information : OS 27 Grid Ref 167475 This is the graveyard round the old parish church of Magherally in the towniand of the same name The site dates at least back to mediaeval times but the old church was built in 1770 This was abandoned and unroofed in 1886 when a new church was erected a quarter of a mile to the east The graveyard is about one mile west of the Dromore-Banbridge road, on a small road and, because of the old tower on the top of a hill, is easily found The graveyard is very irregular and many stones are half-buried There is an unroofed vault at the south side near where the old entrance to the graveyard was before the road was moved The oldest stone dates from 1697 and all with dates of death prior to 1900 have been copied.
