Other Information : Saintfield Second Presbyterian Graveyard This is the town and parish of Saintfield on the east side of the Ballynahinch Road, the congregation (secession) separted from First Saintfield because of the politics of its minister, Thomas Birch, and the church was built in 1796, the oldest stone in the graveyard dates from 1803 and the registers date from 1831 (baptism) and 1837 (marriage), the graveyard is largly behind the church and is rather rough and wild, it contains one vault without an inscription, see the Reverend David Stewart's "Historical Memoirs of First Saintfield Congregation" and his "The Seceders in Ireland", also the Reverend William Dickie's "secound Saintfield Presbyterian Church 150 years" Belfast 1946.
